Smart World Awards 2025 – Celebrating Excellence in Livestock Farming

On 10 September 2025 at 19:30, the spotlight will shine on innovation and leadership in animal husbandry as the Smart World Awards take place at the 2020 Event Space in Sofia. The ceremony is part of the international forum Smart Poultry&Pig World, bringing together industry professionals, innovators, and policymakers to recognize outstanding achievements in the livestock sector.
The Smart World Awards were established to highlight and reward the companies, projects, and individuals who are shaping the future of farming through innovation, responsibility, and sustainable practices. In a rapidly evolving industry facing economic, technological, and environmental challenges, the awards serve as a platform to showcase best practices and inspire new ideas.
This year, the awards will be presented in five categories:
Animal Health – honoring advancements and initiatives that protect animal welfare and improve veterinary practices.
Animal Nutrition – recognizing innovations that enhance feed quality, efficiency, and sustainability in livestock nutrition.
Smart Farm Tech – highlighting cutting-edge digital solutions, automation, and precision farming tools that transform daily farm operations.
Sustainability – rewarding efforts to reduce environmental impact, improve resource efficiency, and promote eco-friendly practices.
Innovation – celebrating pioneering ideas, technologies, or business models that set new standards in the livestock sector.
The winners will be chosen by a distinguished expert jury, including:
Mr. Dobri Mitrev – Chairman of the Bulgarian Chamber of Commerce and Industry
Dr. Denitsa Dimcheva – Director of the Livestock Directorate at the Ministry of Agriculture and Food
Dr. Iliyan Bachvarov – Veterinarian, former Director General of the National Veterinary Service
Assoc. Prof. Dr. Dimitar Belorechkov – Leading livestock and poultry expert
Mr. Ivaylo Galabov – Chairman of the Bulgarian Poultry Union
The evening will be hosted by Mihail Dyuzev and Ralitsa Galabova, who will guide the audience through the award ceremony and an engaging entertainment program.
